Service Divisions
AltaPointe comprises four main divisions: Outpatient Services, Inpatient Services, Adult Residential Services, and Professional Services. Within these divisions, children, adolescents and adults 19 and older may receive psychiatric services, behavioral and emotional counseling services, substance abuse and opiate replacement treatment, and mental retardation case management. Unless otherwise specified, AltaPointe provides services in Mobile and Washington counties.
Training
Through its training department, AltaPointe provides its employees, and the community, the latest and best educational opportunities. Offering a variety of options, therapists, psychiatrists and nurses learn best-practice models to enhance their therapeutic and customer service skills. Managers and supervisors receive mandatory education in state-of-the-art coaching and appraisal, as well as reward and recognition techniques. Plans are in progress to provide community educational opportunities through helpful seminars designed for parents and teachers in addition to the professional continuing education opportunities currently offered for community health professionals.
Consultation and Education
AltaPointe is actively involved in providing public education to the community including written material on available services, how to access them, media and public presentations and referral information on advocate organization activities. The program provides case consultation services to other agencies and collaterals. The staff participates in cross-agency staffing/service coordination through meetings such as task forces and interagency committees. |
