Adolescent Transitional Living Services
Transitional (TLP) and Independent (ILP) Living services are designed to provide youth between the ages of 16 and 21 with the opportunity to make a successful transition into adulthood by achieving, within their potential, their goals in the transitional domains of employment, education, living situation, and community life. A highly developed system accomplishes this by constantly assessing competence and adjusting skills training and therapeutic assistance in decreasing degrees of care and supervision. Eligible youth receive shelter, skills training and support services to assist with the smooth transition to self-sufficiency and avoid long-term dependency on social services. The State of Alabama DHR licensing authority licenses the TLP/ILP program, which a combination of therapists, case managers and behavioral aides staffs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. |

I like the interaction with the residents, making them feel the importance of becoming mature adults, helping them make the right choices. I enjoy working with the staff at AltaPointe. We all work together as a team to accomplish our goals, which is to see the residents be able to live as responsible adults.
