LeMoyne School - Children's Classroom/Day Treatment Services

The LeMoyne School is a day treatment program operated by AltaPointe Health Systems in collaboration with the Mobile County Public Schools System. The LeMoyne School provides a therapeutic classroom environment and structured day treatment setting for kindergarten through eighth grade students who are unable to maintain their behaviors in a public school setting.

At the LeMoyne School, we work to improve each child’s behavior by identifying and addressing the underlying causes of the behavior. Our goal is to help each child achieve academic success. Upon completion of the program, each child will transition back into the public school setting with improved coping skills and social skills.

Admission requires a written psychiatric diagnosis and a referral through the Mobile County Public Schools System. A child/adolescent must manifest a combination of at least three criteria whose severity could prevent treatment in a less restrictive environment. LeMoyne School also offers an 8- to 10-week day treatment program during the summer months without an educational component. The Mobile County Public Schools System provides qualified teachers and funds the program.
