BayPointe offers unique advantages for your child's or adolescent’s care. BayPointe's inpatient and residential programs are located in the same facility. Patients can move fluidly between programs depending on the level of care and the amount of time needed for treatment.

BayPointe is a division of AltaPointe, the largest behavioral and mental healthcare provider in Alabama. In addition to BayPointe’s services, AltaPointe offers a comprehensive continuum of care for children and adolescents including outpatient services, day treatment and transitional age programs that are monitored and tracked through electronic medical records.

BayPointe employs highly trained teams that include the following healthcare professionals: Psychiatrists, CRNPs, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, Social Workers, Therapists, Recreational Specialists, Behavioral Specialists and Aides. These teams work together to return your child or adolescent to the least restrictive environment as quickly as possible.

Referrals and Admissions Protocol

Physicians or other healthcare providers seeking to refer children and adolescents should contact BayPointe directly at (251) 661-0153 and ask for the admissions specialist for either hospital or residen­tial services. BayPointe provides services to residents of Mobile and Washington counties as part of AltaPointe Health Systems. However, BayPointe also welcomes referrals for children and adoles­cents from other Alabama counties.

Reimbursement for Services

When selecting mental health services, the major concern of parents or guardians is the quality of care their child or adolescent will receive. The next important concern of that parent is how they will cover the cost of this care. BayPointe understands these concerns and will work to equip you with the information needed to answer any questions you may have about costs for services.
