adolescents
13 to 18 years
of age who are
experiencing
moderate
to severe
emotional or
behavioral
disturbances
and who have failed to respond to less restrictive
treatment interventions. These children can no
longer function in their home and community
settings. They are disruptive, sometimes
uncontrollable, and often a danger to themselves
or others. They may have thoughts of suicide and
display defiant and aggressive behaviors, which
residential treatment will address.
